As part of the Erasmus+ DiversAbility Circus project, partners met in Slovenia for a learning mobility focused on one big question: how can we make circus activities more accessible for young people with disabilities?
Youth workers, circus educators and facilitators from the partner organisations came together to learn, practise and exchange ideas. The training was very hands-on, with practical workshops, group discussions, shared reflections and lots of testing.
Together, participants explored how to adapt circus activities, communicate more clearly, create safer spaces, manage mixed groups and support different needs. The mobility was also a chance to try out the DiversAbility Circus Card Game and discuss the pedagogical ideas that later became part of the project manual.
The atmosphere was open, curious and collaborative. Everyone brought their own experience, questions and methods, which made the training a real moment of shared learning.
After the mobility, participants brought these ideas back home and used them during local pilot activities with young people. This helped test the project tools in real situations and improve them through practice.
The Slovenian mobility was an important step in turning our ideas into concrete, useful and inclusive circus methods.
