Exciting Kick-Off Meeting for New Inclusive Circus Project Held in Campogaliano, Italy
The town of Campogaliano recently played host to the kick-off meeting for our innovative project aimed at enhancing inclusive circus pedagogy across Europe. The meeting brought together a diverse group of people, circus teachers, youth workers, care takers and young people to launch the “Diversability Circus” initiative, our effort to integrate circus arts into non-formal education for people with disabilities.

Held at the picturesque Centro Armonico Terapeutico (CAT), the event marked the official start of a project designed to innovate and expand the use of circus pedagogy in educational and therapeutic settings. The gathering provided a unique opportunity for the partners to align their goals, set milestones, and develop a collaborative framework for the next phases of the project.
The event included a series of engaging workshops, presentations, and networking sessions, aimed at fostering a shared understanding of the project’s objectives and the innovative approaches each partner brings to the table.
During the meeting, partners discussed the development of pilot local circus activities, research reports, and training courses tailored to the needs of educators working with disabled individuals. The collaborative effort will see the creation of adaptive tools, innovative teaching methods, and the promotion of inclusive practices in circus arts.
The kick-off meeting was not only a platform for setting the project’s strategic direction but also an opportunity to celebrate the diverse expertise and shared commitment of the partners. With the foundation set, the project will now move forward with the development of materials, training programs, and local activities designed to foster inclusion and empowerment through circus arts.
